Limiting system access
- @david
I know the original use case of this product is very different, however, Is it possible to use this product to give a third party access to a computer...Without introducing any security vulnerabilities? (i.e. can downloads/restarting/etc be disabled?)

Hi @Jimmy, thanks for your question!
TinyPilot gives the user access to the target computer as if they were physically at the machine with a display, keyboard, and mouse. Therefore, if you give someone access to the target computer via TinyPilot, they will be able to perform any actions using the mouse and keyboard.
TinyPilot doesn't have the ability to restrict access to features of a target computer (like a computer's ability to download files from the internet). Nor can TinyPilot prevent the user from shutting down or restarting the target computer (if the user clicks "Shutdown" on the Windows start menu for instance).
To restrict users from performing unwanted actions on your target computer, you will have set up those restrictions on the target computer itself, using something like parental controls or a restricted user account.
I hope that helps! Please let me know if you have any questions.
