Hi @timwiza, I'm sorry you're running into this issue viewing your target machine's BIOS.

Some target machines can be awkward displaying their BIOS with TinyPilot. Could you share some more details about your setup? Is your target machine a laptop, desktop, or a server? And can I ask whether you're using a VGA adapter?

Could you also share a TinyPilot log with me to review? On your TinyPilot web interface, go to System > Logs and click Get Shareable URL. Then paste the link in your reply.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

                    Thanks for those details, @timwiza.

Laptops tend to have a feature that prevents them from outputting their display to an external device (even an external monitor) before the operating system loads (e.g., in the BIOS). Unfortunately, this means TinyPilot can't control some laptops during these stages.

Some laptops may allow you to toggle some settings to allow them to output during boot. Does your laptop have a function key for display behavior (I know some use fn + F8)?

If your laptop can toggle to switch between displays, could you try toggling to see if your laptop outputs to your TinyPilot? If not, could you check your laptop's BIOS settings (when not using TinyPilot) to see if there are any settings for displaying the BIOS to an external monitor during boot?

                    I hope that helps!

Please let me know if you have any questions.
