Tiny Pilot Voyarger 2 Connection Slow Reacting

Have had a v2 setup on a PC for a while, and I have noticed frequently that the connecting PC reaction to mouse movement on the display is very slow and is about 10-15 seconds behind the host PC. The host PC action is almost instant, but the connecting laptop is lagging behind.
Is the reason bandwidth? I am going through a VPN to get on the same network domain as the host, so maybe something limiting there?
any ideas are appreciated.

Thanks for sharing all those details. It's possible the VPN affects latency here, but it's worth looking into whether there are other explanations first. Is this latency something you've only experienced recently?
