    Hi,

Are there any further instructions made for laypeople on how to install Tailscale? I have successfully done this on another raspberry pi based kvm but the instructions provided contain quite a few assumptions and steps aren’t fully laid out.

Does someone have a current YouTube video or can walk be through this?

Hi @wtfkvm, thanks for your question about setting up Tailscale.

Our blog post guide explains how to set up Tailscale on a TinyPilot device. It should cover everything, but if anything is unclear, please let me know, and I'll be happy to clarify or update the guide. We also have a video tutorial that walks through the same process.

Let’s pretend like I’ve never used a computer before for simplicity sake.

          Here’s where I am at:

          Tiny pilot is set up.
I can access host computer they url on local network.
          I have a Tailscale account.
Tailscale is not installed on the kvm
          Host computer is a PC
I am remoting in from Mac

What’s next? Where do I even find the IP address of the device? What computer do I go into the ssh client on to set up Tailscale on the kvm?

          Thank you very much :)

I was able to get it to work thanks to a 3yr old video some random enthusiast made so call off the dogs....

Have to say, i went with this device over the competition because i was told this support forum was better than the others discord. Owning both devices and interacting with both support teams, i can confidently say that was not the case at all.

                1. Thanks for replying; I'm pleased that you were able to get Tailscale up and running! I've passed on your comments about preferring a chat-style support channel to the team, as we're always interested in ways we can improve our service.

Regarding the documentation and video, we designed those resources to match the technical requirements and background of the majority of our users, and I'm sorry they didn't meet your needs. Please let me know if you have any specific suggestions on how we could improve them, and I'll be happy to look into updating them!
