Multiple TinyPilots on the same network

I have an Hamachi VPN. I have a TinyPilot which mostly works - I have to override the IP for tinypilot using the hosts file if I am on a network where my local address is not a 192.168.., but other than that, it works. I want to get a second unit, on the same LAN. However, I'm assuming the whole "https://tinypilot" will not work, as the two units will fight with each other. Can I just determine the assigned IP address from my DHCP, and navigate to that instead? I tried that with the first unit, seems to work, but need to know what will happen when I have multiple units.

Hi Kevin, thanks for your question about using more than one TinyPilot device on the same network.

You can connect multiple TinyPilot devices to a single network. Each TinyPilot device will obtain an IP address over DHCP. A home router manages DHCP on most residential networks, and you can check the IP address of each device from the home router's administration pages.

You can also change the hostname of your TinyPilot devices to something more memorable by going to System, then Hostname. For example, you might have https://office.local and https://media.local. I'd recommend changing the name of your existing TinyPilot device before connecting the new one.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you have any questions.
