Hi @vgunturu, I'm sorry your TinyPilot isn't working here - I'd like to help you get up and running.
Are you able to access the TinyPilot web interface (using https://tinypilot, https://tinypilot.local, or https://tinypilot.localdomain)? If so, could you share a TinyPilot log with me to review? On your TinyPilot's web interface, go to System > Logs and click Get Shareable URL. Then paste the link in your reply.
Could you also share the make and model of your target machine (i.e., the machine you're connecting TinyPilot to so you can control it)?
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hi David,
I appreciate your help in troubleshooting this issue. Unfortunately, I am unable to access the TinyPilot web interface using any of the suggested URLs. I have tested it on multiple devices, including my MacBook Pro 14 (2024) and other laptops, but the issue persists.
Since I cannot access the web interface, I am unable to retrieve the logs for further diagnosis. Given these circumstances, I would appreciate if you could either provide a replacement device or send me a return label so that I can return this unit.
Please let me know the next steps.
Best regards,

Thanks for all those details, @vgunturu.
Could you try performing a factory reset here? It sounds like the microSD card may not be working correctly if your device isn't booting into the web interface.
A factory reset should get you up and running.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hi David,
As you suggested, I performed a factory reset and followed all the steps. After using Balena Etcher to flash the microSD with the provided .img file, the process completed successfully, and TinyPilot is now working as expected.
However, this process took me around two hours to read through the instructions, understand the steps, and complete the flashing. It was quite time-consuming and stressful. Given the inconvenience, I’d like to request a 50% refund or some form of compensation for my time.
I would appreciate it if you could consider this. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,

Thanks for the update, @vgunturu! I'm glad you're now up and running after the factory reset.
I'm sorry the factory reset process was time-consuming. Two hours is a bit longer than we'd expect the whole process to take. Do you have any feedback on the guide so that we can improve it for others?
I've passed your request along to our customer support team. They will reach out via email in 1-2 business days to help resolve this.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for your prompt response and support!
I tested the access on my Mac, and I was able to open the TinyPilot web interface using https://tinypilot.local. I appreciate the suggestion!
Regarding the mouse positioning issue, here are the details along with a screen recording for reference:
Mac Logs: https://logs.tinypilotkvm.com/J2kRALxd
Windows Logs: https://logs.tinypilotkvm.com/Db59h0bn
The issue I’m experiencing is that when the mouse is placed in the center of the screen, it aligns correctly with the remote machine. However, when I drag it to the right or left side of the screen, there is a noticeable gap between the local and remote mouse pointers.
Could you please help me resolve this issue? Let me know if you need any additional information.
Thanks again for your assistance!

Glad to hear you can access the web interface with https://tinypilot.local!
Thanks for sharing those logs and the video. I can see in the logs that your TinyPilot is receiving a 1920x1080 resolution image, but it looks like there are blank bars on the edge of the TinyPilot display, suggesting there's some kind of scaling going on, affecting the mouse position.
Can you see those two blank bars on the sides of TinyPilot's display when you're not in full screen?
On your target machine (i.e., the machine you're controlling), are you able to change the output display settings? You should be able to see TinyPilot as a connected display. Could you try changing the output resolution to 1920x1080? If you're mirroring a Mac laptop's display with TinyPilot, changing the output settings may also alter the resolution on the laptop's built-in display.
On a Windows-based target machine, you may see that there are two resolutions, one called "Desktop resolution", and the other called "Active display resolution". Both of these resolutions need to be the same, and they should both be 1920x1080.
I hope that helps! Please let me know if you have any questions.

I’m facing an issue with my mouse setup—both mouse are too far apart, making it difficult to operate the remote machine. Additionally, when I try to access https://tinypilot on my Mac, the page isn’t opening.
Could you please guide me on the steps to access the TinyPilot web interface on a Mac? I’d really appreciate your help.--
Thanks,

Hi @vgunturu, I'm sorry you're unable to connect to your web interface on your Mac and that you're experiencing mouse positioning issues.
Let's start with web interface access on your Mac.
Can you confirm you've tried using the three URLs (https://tinypilot, https://tinypilot.local, and https://tinypilot.localdomain/) to access the web interface? Some environments prefer different addresses (I use https://tinypilot.local). If none of those work, could you try entering your TinyPilot's IP address into the address bar instead? If you have access to your TinyPilot's web interface from another machine, you can find the IP address by navigating to System > Networking > Status.
For the mouse positioning issue, could you share a TinyPilot log with me to review? On your TinyPilot's web interface, navigate to System > Logs and click "Get Shareable URL". Then paste the link in your reply. If you have a screenshot of the issue you can share, that may also help determine the issue here.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
