Hobbyist Kit vs Voyager

I undertand the Voyager is finished - plug and go kind of solution. But with the Hobbyist kit you need too be comfortable to build and configure things. Beside that big difference - are there usable feature differences?

    1. The software is the same, but the Voyager uses a higher quality HDMI capture chip. It renders colors more accurately and with better sharpness. You can see a side-by-side comparison in this blog post. The Voyager's capture chip is also more reliable. The USB dongles can sometimes get into a stuck state that requires a device reboot, but that's not something users ever report with the Voyager.
