No Signal Flashing

    I have tinypilot working somewhat, however the display constantly flashes no signal every 2 seconds or so. Can anyone tell me what is going on? Log link: https://logs.tinypilotkvm.com/pkOPl3qW

    I have this connected to the vga port of a Dell R430 server using a vga to hdmi adapter. Notably a FOINNEX VGA to HDMI Adapter Converter.

      Hi @FuriousRabbit, thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with the video.

      I've reviewed the logs and can see that your TinyPilot device and the target computer are negotiating some rather unusual display settings, such as 640x416 at 70Hz. Unfortunately, the logs don't indicate why this is happening, so we'll need to investigate further.

      The first step is to check which output resolution the target computer is trying to send to the TinyPilot device. Can you please check the display settings for the target computer and let me know what resolution and refresh rate have been configured?

      Confirming that the TinyPilot device works without the VGA adapter would also be helpful. Could you please try connecting the TinyPilot device to another target machine via a direct HDMI connection and checking if it works correctly?

        in the rare case where I had a similar problem, I often had luck with this device in between TinyPilot and the remote computer.

        I "somehow" seems to sanitize the video signal.
