Possibility to enable DynDNS service on TinyPilot

    Hi all,

We want to connect remotely to a TinyPilot Voyager device using port forwarding on our router.

We have a dynamic public IP address and we need to use a DynDNS service (No-IP for example) to connect, but we see that pur router doesn't have any option to enable this service to refresh the Dynamic IP to the assigned domain.

Is there any option to enable to update the DynDNS domain from the TinyPilot instead?

    Thanks in advance. Regards.

    Frank

Hi Frank, thanks for your question about using dynamic DNS with a TinyPilot device.

Your TinyPilot device's operating system is based on Raspberry Pi OS, so if your dynamic DNS provider offers support for using a Raspberry Pi as an update client, you should also be able to use your TinyPilot device as one.

I've checked and can see that NoIP supports using the Raspberry Pi as a dynamic update client. You can access the TinyPilot "terminal" to carry out the installation by connecting over SSH.

I hope this is helpful! Please let me know if you have any questions.
