Windows Server - ctrl-alt-delete not working
- @david
I use TinyPilot mostly to access my BIOS remotely on a Windows Server machine.
Occasionally I've tried to use it to access the Windows desktop but when I send Ctrl-Alt-Del from TinyPilot the Server does not unlock. If I'm on-site and unlock it manually, the keyboard via TinyPilot works fine.
Does Windows Server have some kind of extra security on the lock screen that TinyPilot can't access?

Hi @shoek, I'm sorry you're running into this
Ctrl
+Alt
+Delete
issue on Windows Server.Does Windows Server have some kind of extra security on the lock screen that TinyPilot can't access?
I'm not sure. We had a similar thread about six months ago with Windows Server 2022, but we didn't find the issue. Since you're seeing similar behavior, it's possible that Windows Server isn't responding to TinyPilot's keypresses to unlock it, and that this is the expected behavior of Windows Server.
Can I confirm you've tried different methods to send
Ctrl
+Alt
+Delete
with TinyPilot (i.e., TinyPilot's on-screen keyboard and the keyboard shortcut in TinyPilot's menu)? And could you share the version of Windows Server you're using?Could you share a TinyPilot log for me to review (ideally after trying the
Ctrl
+Alt
+Delete
)? On your TinyPilot web interface, go to System > Logs and click Get Shareable URL. Then paste the link in your reply. Please let me know if you have any questions.
